The moment I stepped into the Riverfront Pool Villa, I was captivated by its seamless integration with the natural surroundings. The villa’s design effortlessly combines traditional Balinese elements with contemporary aesthetics, creating a harmonious blend of comfort and authenticity. Large floor-to-ceiling windows revealed mesmerizing views of the Ayung River, while the sounds of nature filled the air, providing a constant reminder of the serene setting.
The spaciousness and opulence of the villa were immediately evident. The Balinese-style bedroom boasted a plush king-sized bed adorned with crisp linens, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
Not forgetting the walk-in wardrobe that can house my luggage and there are straw hats and bags for your use during your stay.
The living area is a separate house by the private pool that provides a cosy space to unwind, complete with a comfortable seating area, a flat-screen TV, and a well-stocked minibar.
The en-suite bathroom featured a deep soaking tub, a separate rainforest shower, and a selection of luxurious bath amenities that enhanced the overall sense of relaxation. Its many glass windows allow natural light to flow into the bathroom and connect nature into the space.

We arranged a river rafting excursion on the Ayung River, accompanied by Mandapa’s specialized guide who guided us through the entire journey. Don’t worry, though, as the swings have varying levels of intensity, with some meant just for photos.
Subsequently, we descended a bit to the river rafting launch point—a highlight of Ubud. A professional rafting coach provided us with the essentials before embarking on a thrilling two-hour adventure. Expect to get wet, but the experience of navigating the scenic river alternates between tranquillity and adrenaline-pumping excitement. The highlight was disembarking right at Mandapa Reserve, where towels and hot ginger tea awaited.
