KOMA is a fine dining Japanese restaurant located at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Because it is so popular, patrons often have to book tables way in advance. However, the experience is definitely worth it.
As soon as you walk through the beautiful Japanese Torri Gates at the entrance, you’ll walk into a whole new world. Set in dim ambient lighting, the restaurant houses beautiful pieces that capture the traditional elements of Japanese culture and decor.
Its most striking piece is an intricately patterned 2.5-metre bell positioned as the space’s centrepiece. Besides that, there are Japanese lanterns hanging from the soaring high ceilings, a traditional Japanese footbridge and even an origami crane hashioki (a chopstick rest) on every table. The littlest details really make the experience there extraordinary. Not forgetting the modern interpretation of Japanese cuisine, elevating every dish featuring innovative and original creations.
Whether you’re a sushi lover or prefer hot dishes, KOMA has something for everyone. The food here is definitely of great quality, and you can tell that a lot of care and attention goes into each dish. The service here is also top-notch, and the staff are always ready and willing to help.
Overall, I personally had a lovely time dining in at KOMA and aside from the scrumptious meal, it was an unforgettable experience.
