On December 20th, 2024, the prestigious National Tourism Awards Ceremony took centre stage at Cinnamon Life Hotel, Colombo. With key industry partners from the hotel, travel, airline sectors, and government agencies in attendance, and graced by the Hon. Deputy Minister for Tourism and the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism. It’s a landmark event in the country’s tourism calendar.
Celebrating the remarkable contributions of individuals and organisations to the tourism sector, this year’s awards will shine a spotlight on the vital role that innovative content creators play in promoting Sri Lanka as a travel destination.
As I was unable to attend the award ceremony, I had the immense honour to have Mr Chaminda Munasinghe and Mdm Madubhani Perera receiving the award on behalf of all the international travel influencers who have made outstanding contributions to promoting Sri Lanka as a must-visit destination.
I am delighted to be one of the winners of the Sri Lanka Tourism Award, the first and only Singapore content creator recipient for this prestigious award, together with four other international creators.
For dedication and noble intentions to support the growth of our national tourism sector have been instrumental in showcasing the hidden beauty of Sri Lanka to the world.
This recognition is a significant milestone for our Annual Visiting Blogger Program (under the PR Department), a testament to the impactful destination promotional collaborations Sri Lanka Tourism board built over the years.
Thank you so much for this incredible honour at the Sri Lanka Tourism Awards. This country has given me so many memories, friendships, and experiences I’ll cherish forever.
Sri Lanka remains one of my favourite travel destinations. A truly special place in my heart, and I’m endlessly grateful to the amazing people who make it feel like home every time I visit. From cultures to beautiful landscapes, it has opened my eyes to the unique beauty of the country and inspired us to share the wonders of Sri Lanka with the world.
